"Children are like tiny flowers; they are varied and need care, but each is beautiful alone and glorious when seen in the community of peers."

Summer Reading List:

Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten.
As you know, I am delighted to be your child's teacher once again, this coming September.
I ask that you encourage reading readiness during the summer months by visiting the Library, reading stories together, talking about the stories you have read, and simply talking about books. Other suggestions include keeping lots of reading material around the house, traveling with a book, and signing your child up for reading programs at your local library.
Here is a list of suggested books that will help you share the joy of reading with your child.
Enjoy your summer. Sit back, relax, and read!

I will send home a reading log so that if you'd like, you may keep track of the books that you read.
I would like your child to pick a favorite 'Summer Reading' story and be able to share something about the story with the class when we return in September.
