Our buddies come to say goodbye and bring us a gift.

Mrs. Browne gives us a special end of the year treat!

Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Pastora and family for giving us ices!

Mrs. Browne helps me decide on a flavor!

I like the rainbow ice!

Me, too!

I wear a Mariposa tatoo for Mrs. DiNapoli.

I know she will start singing the Mariposa song!

Before you know it, we will all be singing the song!!

I even taught my baby brother how to say Mariposa!

Religion Center:

We discover that Jesus is our Shepherd.

These materials allow us to develop a relationship with Jesus.

Thank you to Mr. DiNapoli for sanding and painting these materials for us to use!

We discover that Jesus loves and cares for us just as a shepherd loves and cares for his sheep.

Literacy/Science: We listen to the story, The Great Kapok Tree.  We have a great time with this interdisciplinary lesson.  We develop our comprehension skills.  We are able to re-call details of the story when Mrs. DiNapoli asks us questions. We also learn why rainforests are important to our earth.  Later, we re-enact the story using animals that live in the rainforest. Special thanks to Suzy for letting her mom bring in this really cool bird, cute little monkeys, and an awesome looking snake for us to use!  Math:  We play Numbers Bingo. We learn to identify numbers. We are so smart, we can identify numbers as high as  20!

Literacy:  We listen to the story, Chicka Chicka ,Boom, Boom.  We go back to our Literacy Center and use materials to re-enact the story. We place the letters of the alphabet on the coconut tree! This fun activity helps us identify the letters of the alphabet.

We celebrate my summer birthday! My Mom made these delicious cupcakes!

I win Bingo on the day of my birthday celebration. How lucky can you get!

We celebrate my summer birthday today.  My mom bought these beautiful cupcakes with Mariposas on top. Uh-Oh...did I say mariposa? I know this will make Mrs. DiNapoli lead us in a song called Mariposa, Butterfly!
